Legacy of Cyrus is a novelty mode invented by Cthulhu Crisis. Currently there is not an automated option to roll a LoC seed, but this and other features are currently in beta stages. To play Legacy of Cyrus, roll a seed using the flagset ng(z)pmte and then visit Cthulhu Crisis's LoC website and run your file through the validator. This will make sure there is nothing in the seed that conflicts with the goals of the game mode.

Flags:

• (n) Normal difficulty
• (g) Glitches disabled
• (z) Zeal 2 acts as final boss (she won't be engaged in a LoC run)
• (p) Early pendant charge (no need to visit Mammon Machine)
• (m) Magic is unlocked without visiting Spekkio
• (te) Fully random tech order

To qualify for “Go Mode” you must:

• Recruit Frog and Magus into your party (and they must remain there)
• Find both pieces of the Masamune and have Melchior repair it
• Find the Grand Leon and equip it to Frog

Then, perform these tasks in this order:

• Clear out and repair the Northern Ruins, visit Cyrus's grave, and power up Frog
• Open the Magic Cave and clear Magus's Castle
• Enter Ozzie's fort, defeat Great Ozzie, Super Slash, and Flea Plus, and then engage Ozzie in the next room; timer stops when the cat hits the switch.

Currently this mode is not supported by autotrackers. While it will keep track of checks and items, players will need to keep track of their Go Mode requirements. Current versions will not force the above requirements, either. Players must be careful to perform checks in the correct order so as not to invalidate a run.

Several features to improve Legacy of Cyrus are currently in beta. They include:

• Forcing several dependencies, including hard requirements to have Magus/Frog/Grand Leon to do Northern Ruins, completed Ruins and repaired Masamune to open the Magic Cave and do Magus's Castle, and to have done Magus's Castle before entering Ozzie's Fort.
• Useless Key Items (like Moon Stone, Chrono Trigger, Ruby Knife, etc) will be replaced by high tier gear drops.
• Access to Future removed (Access to Mt. Woe via the Gate Key is still possible).
• An ending has been added after Ozzie.
• If Robo is rolled in the future, his Ribbon is removed from the Key Item pool. If Marle is rolled in the future, the Prism Shard is removed.
• Defeating Magus does NOT open the zeal palace door, and the message is changed so you know you need to go to Ozzie.
• The Pendant, when found, is instantly charged and can be used to open sealed chests in 600AD/1000AD.
